RAEC Delegation Visiting OBO Bettermann

In early April 2019, RAEC representatives were entertained by OBO Bettermann in Germany.

The RAEC delegation consisting of Elcom-Electro and Uralenergo top management visited the factories in Menden, as well as the supplier's stand at the Hannover Messe, an advanced exhibition of industrial technologies.

OBO Bettermann is an internationally acclaimed manufacturer of electrical installation equipment with a 100-year history. Since April 1, 2019 the company has become RAEC's official supplier.

OBO Bettermann is a manufacturer of quality solutions for laying cable ducts in projects of any complexity: cable-carrying and fire-retardant systems, fastening and mounting systems, overvoltage protection and lightning protection.

OBO Bettermann's production and logistics facilities are located in Russia, Germany, Hungary, UK, Switzerland, South Africa, and India.

RAEC representatives were impressed by the supplier's production sites, an employment cornerstone of the town of Menden:

1.    A factory for the production of metal cable-carrying systems with hot-dip galvanizing bath for 1,000,000 liters. It is the largest bath in Europe.

2.    A factory of plasticware (production of cable channels).

3.    A huge fully automated distribution center that was built 40 years ago. The center is constantly improving, keeping pace with modern trends in automation.

OBO Bettermann production is highly environmentally friendly – houses in Menden are located at a 20 meters' distance from the facilities.

In addition to the rich and interesting business program, the guests were offered a fascinating tour of Berlin.
