DKC is a Participant of the "Compliance with Cable Support Systems' Basic Parameters" Project

To date, the project participants are the following companies: DKC, IEK Group, OBO Bettermann, OSTEC, KM-profil, Trading House Severnaya Avrora.

At the moment, the Federal law on technical regulation No. 184-ФЗ of December 27, 2002 differentiates the concepts of "technical regulations" and "standards" in the Russian Federation, which makes the compliance with GOSTs voluntary.

This means that before the appearance of the Technical Regulations of the Customs Union, which confirm the compliance with safety requirements, manufacturers of cable support systems do not need to go through mandatory certification and declare the of conformity of their products. This leads to the fact that the declared basic characteristics (safe working load, corrosive resistance and operating temperature range) of cable support products may differ from the actual ones. In most cases, this discrepancy is due to the lack of actual tests or the application of deficient procedures.

Understanding that all the stakeholders of the electrotechnical market, from the consumer to the manufacturer, suffer from such discrepancy, being guided by the principles of fair competition, and by the requirements of the Federal law No. 184-ФЗ "On technical regulation" of December 27, 2002, which demands obligatory compliance with GOST R until the technical regulations have been registered, a number of distributors and manufacturers of cable support systems announced their willingness to voluntarily declare basic parameters of cable support systems in accordance with regulatory and legislative requirements.

Concerned about the safety of cable support products for the consumer, conscious manufacturers understand the need to comply with the following rules and laws:

GOST R 52868-2007 national standard: "Cable tray systems and cable ladder systems for cable management. General technical requirements and testing methods",

  • Federal law No. 135-ФЗ of 26.07.2006 "On protection of competition";

  • Federal law No. 184-ФЗ of 27.12.2002 "On technical regulation";

  • Federal law No. 162-ФЗ of 29.06.2015 "On standardization in the Russian Federation".

A group of conscientious cable support system manufacturers have entered into an agreement to voluntarily comply with the following conditions:

  • Voluntary declaration of the Safe Working Load (SWL);

  • Testing according to GOST 52868, scheme 10.3.3 (for sheet trays);

  • Indication of safe and maximum load against the safety factor of 1.7

The agreement provides for constant verification of the technical parameters of the products by the manufacturers-parties to the agreement by engaging certified laboratories with an excellent reputation. The test results shall be published on the "Honest position" website.

This project is designed to help consumers distinguish unscrupulous suppliers of cable support systems from manufacturers who have nothing to hide, and to purchase products, specified technical characteristics of which coincide with the actual values and fully comply with the requirements of regulatory documentation.
