Elevel and Schneider Electric Team Successfully Coped with All Competitions at Hero Race in Novosibirsk
On June 23, the Hero Race was held at the Koltsovo training ground in Novosibirsk. The Elevel and Schneider Electric team was the first to come to the finish line, having outrun all the competitors.
To participate in the competition, it was necessary to engage a platoon of 10 people. Eight Elevel employees volunteered in Novosibirsk, and two partners from Schneider Electric joined to gain the lead.

“Our team had started training several months before the Race. All the participants were in a good physical shape, but to cover the distance of such complexity it is necessary to train at the limit of one’s capabilities. At the same time, it was important to operate as one team, to know each other's strengths and weaknesses, to be able to support a companion and try to keep up with the one running ahead”, said Anastasia Bugakova, Technical and Commercial Engineer and the Race participant.

There was still snow in Novosibirsk in spring, and the trainings took place in difficult weather conditions, but despite this fact the team met every week. The colleagues together ran a distance of 7-10 km, pulled themselves up on horizontal bars and did push-ups right from the ground. On the coldest days, they had power trainings in the gym under the guidance of a trainer.
It was hot in Novosibirsk on the day of the Race, the temperature was +27. The teams started the distance with an interval of four minutes. Elevel and Schneider Electric started the fourth in the team race. The participants had to overcome a difficult route of 40 obstacles with a total length of nine kilometers. The team worked together, and after a few obstacles it managed to overtake the platoon that had started earlier. By the finish line Elevel left behind all those who had been ahead. Even the injury of the captain of the team Maksim Bochkarev did not prevent them from coming the first.
“It isn’t just a race, it’s a fight with yourself. It is the excitement before the start, it is the trainings and discussions of the plan of actions. At each stage, you step over your fears, but it is worth it. A team charged for victory is 100 percent of success. Even when I was injured, not a single thought that I wouldn’t get there crept into my head, because the team next to me was one with the capital “T”. The will to victory and the shoulder of a companion is what decides everything! We did it!" - Maksim Bochkarev, the captain of the team, shared his emotions.
Aleksey Nekrasov, Sales Manager:
“A burst, a storm of emotions! It may seem that you are going back to childhood – crawling in the mud, diving into the water, climbing the tunnels and monkey bars. What actually happens is that in the race you need to become mature and help the injured captain to get to the finish line operating as one team – like a platoon of soldiers.”

The Hero Race is a federal project officially supported by the Ministry of Defense of the Russian Federation. On the obstacle track, there are several models of operating armored personnel carriers, Osa missile systems, and Grad multiple-launch rocket system. The participants must not only overcome all the challenges, but also get to the finish line together with the whole team!
