EKF Launches Metal Cable Tray Production in Moscow

EKF company has launched its own production of metal cable trays in Moscow. Investments in the project amounted to over 75 million RUB. The company facilities cover an area of 1,500 square meters and are located at the addres: 21, block 8, Yuzhnoportovaya street.

To date, two lines to produce perforated sheet and non-perforated cable trays have been equipped. The first batch of products came off the assembly line in mid-January; the plan is to produce 500 km of cable trays in 2019. It is expected that up to 50 new jobs will be created at the factory.

"The market for our product demonstrates a steady growth. This has largely been caused by the global trend to increase the pace of residential and commercial real estate construction. The metal cable tray is also used to bring facilities already commissioned in conformity with the fire safety requirements. Seeing our partners' rather pressing need for this product, it was decided to launch our own production in Moscow", said EKF senior partner Yevgeniy Oystacher.

He argues that over the next three years, the company plans to take up to 8% of the Russian market, as well as export the new product to 12 countries.

Before production began, EKF obtained a patent for a utility model of a metal cable tray. Unique advantages of the product include a number of design features such as a special thread that allows one to quickly couple two tray covers without using a nut which significantly increases the speed of installation. In addition, there will be special eyelets for screwless connection of products to one another at the bottom of the cable tray, as well as a stiffener on the side walls of the cable tray to increase the carrying capacity of the product.
