Upgraded ABB Distribution Boxes
Since July 2019, ABB has started to deliver upgraded distribution boxes of the AP9V (Green colour), AP9R (Red colour) and AP10 (White colour) series.
The upgraded boxes have a number of improvements compared to the previous version:

Fourteen membranous inlets, 3 on each side (Ø 19mm for AP10; Ø 17mm for AP9V, R) and 2 (Ø 19mm) on the bottom of the box.

The products have been tested and comply with the IP65 degree of protection, suitable for operation in cold climatic conditions up to -25 ° C.

Distribution boxes of AR series are made by two-component casting and do not require special tools for cable inlet. Membranous inlets can be easily pierced with a screwdriver or cleared cable ends. At the same time, the membranous inlet also serves as a gland, preventing the penetration of moisture and dust into the box. Such a system provides reliable fixation of the cable, significantly speeds up and improves the quality of installation.
