RAEC's First Cable Committee

On March 21, the first Cable Committee of the Russian Association of Electrotechnical Companies was held in Moscow.

The office of Elcom-Electro, a member of RAEC with unique competencies and expertise in cabling and wiring products, as well as its own "Honest cable" project, was chosen as the venue.

The main goal of the Committee is to ensure high quality of cable products sold by RAEC members.

The participants of the event, owners and heads of subdivisions of RAEC companies responsible for the purchasing and distribution of cabling and wiring products, shared their experience and discussed issues related to cable quality requirements, algorithms and standards of work aimed at ensuring these requirements. 

The meeting was attended by Vladimir Kashkin, Deputy General Director of a Nonprofit Partnership International Association Electrokabel and coordinator of the "Safety cable" Federal project, who spoke at the end of the day. Vladimir introduced the guests to the results of the project, which actively counteracts the spread of counterfeit cable products.

In addition to the business part, the Committee members had a tour of the Elcom-Electro warehouse of cabling and wiring products, which aroused great interest, where a test of some cable's compliance with the requirements and parameters was also demonstrated.

The Cable Committee symbolically held on the 3rd day of CABEX 2019, became a natural step in the development of RAEC Category committees held by the Association on a regular basis: the wiring accessories and low-voltage equipment, lighting technology, cable support systems and cable systems. RAEC's events are highly appreciated and are of great interest not only for the representatives of relevant groups of members and suppliers. The algorithms and standards established within RAEC and the committees have become another force for bringing order to the industry, contributing to the struggle for work without counterfeits, with quality products, which is jointly carried out by key companies of the electrotechnical market. With a strong team and reliable partners of the Association, victory in this fight is just around the bend!
