BigPro Representative in “Golden Photon” Jury

He graduated from the Engineering Faculty of Moscow Energy Institute in 1992.
He came to lighting technology industry in 1998.
From 2001 to 2004, he held managerial positions in the Russian representative office of the Poltava gas discharge lamp plant.
From 2004 to 2008, he managed his own lighting company with a narrow specialization in the field of special light sources.
Starting from 2008 till the present, he has been working in the Bigpro group of companies; since 2011, he has been managing the Bigpro Development Department. Sergei Afanasyev’s department includes six Leaders of Product Lines with specialized education and impressive work experience: for lighting technology, emergency lighting, inside lighting, lighting control systems, lighting sources, electrical equipment.
Since 2011, Sergei has been creating a product matrix for the entire Bigpro group of companies, guided by more than 1,000,000 products of more than 150 lighting and electrical brands, which the group sells as a federal distributor of Russian and world manufacturers of high-quality lighting and electrical equipment under direct contracts.
Sergei Afanasyev’s total work experience in the lighting industry is over 20 years.
Bigpro group of companies is a group of companies that was known to the market as Lampa.ru until 2019. After the 15th anniversary in 2019, it was rebranded and became a new brand - Bigpro.
Two main activities of the group are: project lighting and electrotechnical business, wholesale trade in lighting products, installation materials, panel and low-voltage equipment to dealer companies, budget-funded organizations, end-users throughout Russia; compilation of internal and external specifications at the prices of the primary supplier.
The parent company is LLC Electrotechnical Company Eco Svet in Moscow, it has branches and warehouses in Yekaterinburg, St. Petersburg, Samara, Krasnodar, Novosibirsk. Since 2014 it has become a member of RAEC (Russian Association of Electrotechnical Companies).
