In Kursk, an act on the first savings under an energy service contract in street lighting was signed
In December 2019, work on the replacement of urban lighting was completed in Kursk - the energy service company Lighting Technologies ESKO replaced all outdated ineffective street console lamps with modern LED lamps. And now, the first act on the achieved savings was signed - it amounted to 62.08%.
Kursk entered the new year more beautiful and bright. Prior to the draft, the norms of SP 13330.52-2016 in terms of illumination were not observed: measurements showed that in inter-quarter driveways the indicator was 1.7 times lower than the standard, in a number of courtyard areas - 3 times; on average in the city by 2 times. After the modernization, the illumination exceeded the norm on most streets by 50%, and on the main ones - more than twice.
The biggest advantage of such an energy service contract is that the supply of equipment and its installation within the framework were implemented by the contractor without attracting budget funds, that is, the budget of the Kursk city did not incur any costs.
However, in such projects, the period of which is several years, the completion of the installation is only the beginning of a long journey. Stability and guarantee throughout the entire term of the contract is always important to the customer. Therefore, the next step is equally important - confirmation that the engineering calculations were correct and the contractual savings are being achieved.
This is evidenced by the first act signed by the representatives of the Customer and the Contractor in Kursk. According to it, the actual consumption of electricity for street lighting in February, 2020, compared to the energy basis (consumption in February 2018) decreased by 62.08%.
Ahead of the customer (the Committee for Housing and Communal Services of the city of Kursk) and the contractor (Lighting Technologies ESKO, LLC) are waiting for the monthly activation of savings. In addition, the contractor retains warranty obligations for equipment (for the entire duration of the contract) and quality of installation (2 years)
Info on the project:
The contract price is 610,829,247.08 rubles.
The contract is valid until March 30, 2027.
25 871 lamps were replaced, including more than 15,000 in the private sector, 961 streets - in total.
Including more than 1,800 luminaires on central streets are equipped with wireless modules for communication using the LoRaWAN protocol for remote control from a single city control room, which gives the customer the opportunity to deploy the “Smart City” functionality.
Depending on the category of roads, lamps of the domestic manufacturer International Group of Companies Light Technologies were used with a power from 35 W (in the private sector) to 240 W (on large city highways), with a light temperature of 4000 Kelvin.
